GM Body Control Module (BCM) Programming Service — 2007–202 | PN 25835966

from $199.00

Programmed to Your VIN — Plug In and Go

We program your replacement GM Body Control Module to your vehicle's VIN before we ship it. When it arrives, it's ready to install — no dealer visit, no Tech2, no waiting. We handle VIN programming, vehicle option configuration, and module setup so you get a BCM that works the moment it's plugged in.

This service covers GM BCM part number 25835966 and its compatible replacements across GMT900 trucks, SUVs, vans, Lambda and Theta crossovers, and passenger cars from 2006–2026.

How It Works

  1. Order the service and provide your VIN at checkout.

  2. Ship us your replacement BCM, or purchase one through us.

  3. We program it — VIN, vehicle configuration, and module setup are written to the BCM.

  4. Install it yourself or at any shop — no special tools or dealer programming required.

What Is a Body Control Module?

The Body Control Module (BCM) is the central electronic controller for your vehicle's body functions. It manages power windows, power door locks, interior and exterior lighting, turn signals, the security system, climate control, and instrument cluster communication. The BCM communicates with other modules — including the ECM, instrument cluster, and airbag module — over the vehicle's CAN and Class 2 data networks.

When a BCM fails, common symptoms include erratic window or lock operation, lights that don't respond correctly, security system malfunctions, no-start conditions, and loss of communication with other modules. A failed BCM will often set multiple DTCs across several systems.

A replacement BCM must be programmed to your vehicle's VIN and configured for your specific options before installation. Without programming, the module will not communicate with the rest of the vehicle. This is the service we provide.

After Installation

Your BCM arrives programmed and configured, but a few post-install steps may still apply depending on your vehicle:

Airbag Light / DTC B1001 (Option Configuration Error) Normal after any BCM replacement. The new BCM needs to sync with the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) via an SDM Primary Key Setup procedure. This can be done with a Tech2 or compatible J2534 scan tool.

Brake Pedal Position (BPP) Sensor Calibration A BPP learn procedure may be required to restore proper brake light operation and cruise control functionality.

Passlock / VATS Security Relearn If your vehicle has anti-theft, a 30-minute Passlock relearn cycle is required before the engine will crank. Turn the key to ON (do not start), wait 30 minutes until the security light turns off, then cycle the key. This may need to be repeated up to three times.

Why Use Our BCM Programming Service?

Most shops and even many dealerships will tell you a used BCM can't be reprogrammed — or that you need to buy a brand new one from GM at full price. That's not true. We specialize in GM module programming and have the tools and experience to program used, refurbished, or new BCMs to your vehicle. No dealer markup, no unnecessary parts replacement.

If you have questions about your specific vehicle or part number, contact us before ordering and we'll confirm compatibility.
