2004–2012 Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon / Hummer H3 BCM — Programmed to Your VIN

from $225.00

These BCMs Are Discontinued — We Still Have Them

The GMT355 Body Control Module is no longer manufactured by GM, and supply is getting scarce. We maintain an inventory of tested, refurbished units with a protective coating applied to address the moisture intrusion problems these modules are known for. Every unit is programmed to your VIN, configured to your factory options, and includes mileage programming — ready to install.

Need VATS disabled? Send your PCM along with your BCM and we'll disable the Vehicle Anti-Theft System in the PCM so there's no 30-minute Passlock relearn after install.

Three Options

Option 1: Mail-In Clone — $225

You have your own replacement BCM. Ship us both your old BCM and your replacement — we clone the data from old to new.

  1. Order and provide your VIN at checkout.

  2. Ship us your original BCM and your replacement BCM.

  3. We clone your data to the replacement.

  4. We ship your cloned BCM back. Plug in and go.

Send your PCM too and we'll disable VATS at no extra charge.

Option 2: Buy a Clone — $425 (30-Day Warranty)

You don't have a replacement. Ship us your original BCM and we clone it to one of our tested, refurbished units.

  1. Order and provide your VIN at checkout.

  2. Ship us your original BCM (and PCM if you want VATS disabled).

  3. We clone your data to a compatible refurbished BCM from our inventory.

  4. We ship your cloned BCM back. Plug in and go.

Send your PCM too and we'll disable VATS at no extra charge.

Option 3: Buy a Programmed BCM — $525 (30-Day Warranty)

No need to ship anything. We program a refurbished BCM to your VIN with your instrument cluster mileage. Includes two key fobs.

  1. Order and provide your VIN and current mileage at checkout.

  2. We program a tested, refurbished BCM to your vehicle.

  3. It ships to you with two key fobs. Install and go.

Post-install you'll need to resync the SRS system and TPMS. A VATS relearn is required unless you send your PCM for VATS disable.

Mileage Programming

Mileage is programmed into every unit we sell. If you need the mileage set higher than what's on your cluster, just include the desired mileage in the order notes. If you need it set lower, you'll need to ship us your instrument cluster — contact us and we'll provide the mailing address.

Why These BCMs Fail

The GMT355 platform has a well-known issue with BCM failure caused by moisture intrusion. The module sits behind the passenger side kick panel where it's exposed to water leaks from the HVAC system and door seals. Corrosion builds on the circuit board and causes erratic electrical behavior — lights, locks, windows, security system, and eventually a no-start.

All of our refurbished units are cleaned, tested, and coated with a protective layer to prevent the same moisture damage from recurring.

Compatible Part Numbers

Your BCM part number is printed on the module label. Confirm your part number is listed below before ordering. If you don't see yours, contact us — we may have a compatible unit in stock.

Airbag Light / DTC B1001 (Option Configuration Error) An SDM serial number setup may be required to sync the new BCM with the airbag module. This requires a Tech2 or compatible J2534 scan tool. We can walk you through this if needed.

TPMS Relearn Tire pressure monitoring sensors will need to be relearned to the new BCM.

VATS / Passlock Relearn (if you did not send your PCM) If VATS was not disabled in the PCM, a 30-minute Passlock relearn is required before the vehicle will start:

  1. Connect a jump pack — do not let battery voltage drop below 11.5V.

  2. Attempt to start the vehicle, then return the key to the RUN position.

  3. Wait 10 minutes. Turn key to OFF.

Driver Information Center Personalization settings (auto-lock, lighting preferences, etc.) may need to be reset through the DIC. Consult your owner's manual.

Why Buy From Us?

These BCMs are discontinued and getting harder to find at any price. Most shops won't touch them. We maintain inventory of tested, refurbished GMT355 BCMs with moisture protection applied. We handle VIN programming, mileage, security, and option configuration — everything the dealer would charge significantly more for, if they can even get the part.

If you have questions about your specific vehicle, part number, or which option is right for you, contact us before ordering.

Given that these Body Control Modules (BCMs) are discontinued and increasingly difficult to obtain, our inventory is limited.

Our refurbished, pre-owned units are equipped with a protective coating to combat corrosion issues.

Please ensure you order the correct part number. If you cannot find your part number, contact us—we might have a compatible BCM in stock.

The part number you receive may differ slightly but will be a current and compatible BCM.

Why do you need my VIN?

This unit has been utilized across different models. To guarantee that the unit you receive is programmed according to your vehicle's factory specifications, we will need your VIN to program the data into the replacement unit.

In these vehicles, your VIN must be programmed to synchronize with other components. For example, if your VIN does not match, your radio will cease to function.

Mileage Reset Option:

Mileage adjustments can be made as necessary. Should you require a lower mileage than the figure displayed on the cluster, the instrument cluster must be sent to us. Contact us for programming a lower mileage, and we will furnish you with the mailing address for the cluster. Conversely, if you need to adjust the mileage to a higher value than that shown, simply specify the desired mileage in the notes section at checkout; no instrument cluster submission is required.

Notes:

  • The GMT355 was built to be the successor to the dependable GMT325 but unfortunately, they did have some issues with the body control module due to the lack of moisture protection.

  • Replacing the BCM with our rebuilt unit should also fix passlock issues.

  • The BCM is located behind the passenger side kick panel.

  • We understand for some, a vehicle is part of the family. Our mission is to get your vehicle back on the road by offering quick and cost-effective solutions.

  • If you have any questions about this unit or anything else, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!

Note: A Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) serial number setup may be required if Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1001 is displayed. This procedure necessitates the use of a compatible scan tool.

A VATS Relearn must be performed before the vehicle will start. Instructions are as follows:

  • A 30 MINUTE RELEARN PROCEDURE MUST BE PERFORMED BY FOLLOWING THESE STEPS:

  • PLACE A JUMP PACK ON THE VEHICLE. DO NOT LET THE BATTERY DROP BELOW 11.5 VOLTS.

  • TRY AND START THE VEHICLE.

  • RETURN THE KEY TO THE RUN POSITION.

  • WAIT 10 MINUTES. (10)

  • TURN THE KEY FROM RUN TO OFF.

  • RETURN THE KEY BACK TO THE RUN POSITION.

  • WAIT 10 MINUTES. (20)

  • TURN THE KEY FROM RUN TO OFF.

  • RETURN THE KEY BACK TO THE RUN POSITION.

  • WAIT 10 MINUTES. (30)

AFTER THE FINAL 10 MINUTES, RETURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION. THE NEXT CYCLE OF THE KEY WILL NOW RE-LEARN THE PASSLOCK DATA INTO THE REPLACEMENT MODULE.PERSONALIZATION SETTINGS IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER MAY NEED TO BE RESET. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL FOR VEHICLE PERSONALIZATION.
