Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM / ABS module) for the 2012–2015 Chevrolet Captiva Sport, GM part number 20952634. Programmed to your VIN and set up with your vehicle’s security data, so it installs and works without a trip to the dealer.
Your original module is required. The Captiva Sport is a GM Global A vehicle. Its EBCM stores security data that has to match the rest of the car, and that data can only come off your original module. We read it from your old EBCM and write it to the replacement. Without your original we can’t complete the job.
Failed modules are fine. In most cases we read the memory chip directly, even when the module won’t communicate. Water damage or a burned board can make the chip unreadable — if that happens we’ll tell you before going further.
How it works
Place your order.
Remove your EBCM and ship it to us. [Module only: remove just the electronic control unit. It unbolts from the pump, and the brake lines stay closed.] The vehicle will have no ABS or StabiliTrak while the module is out.
We pull the security data and VIN and program the replacement with the latest GM calibration.
The programmed module ships back. Install it, clear codes, and run the steering angle sensor calibration with a capable scan tool.
Symptoms of a failed EBCM:
ABS, traction control and StabiliTrak lights on
C0110 (pump motor circuit), C0550 (ECU performance) and similar EBCM internal codes
U0121 (lost communication with ABS module)
ABS pump not running, or running constantly
