Engine (ECM) tuning — every CTS and CTS-V
Mail us your ECM and we’ll tune it and ship it back, or buy a pre-tuned ECM programmed to your VIN. We tune fuel, timing, airflow, boost and torque management on turbo and supercharged engines, throttle response, rev and speed limiters, and calibration for intake, exhaust, pulley, injector and cam changes.
Results depend on the engine and modifications. Our supercharged CTS-V tunes typically add 20–40 rear-wheel horsepower. Turbo engines usually see the biggest gains from tuning alone.
Transmission (TCM) tuning — automatic models
On the GM 6- and 8-speed automatics used in most CTS and CTS-V models, the transmission control module is built into the transmission
TCM tuning covers:
Shift firmness and speed
WOT shift points
Torque management during shifts
Torque converter lockup
Speedometer correction for tire or gear changes
Manual-transmission cars have no TCM. The ECM tune covers everything.
The ECM-only options don’t change the transmission. For transmission changes, choose ECM + TCM.
