2007–2016 GM Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM / FSCM) — Programmed to Your VIN
Programmed and Ready to Install
We sell replacement GM Fuel Pump Control Modules already programmed to your vehicle's VIN. When it arrives, it's ready to bolt in — no dealer visit, no scan tool required. This module is also referred to as the FSCM (Fuel System Control Module) or FTCM (Fuel Tank Control Module) depending on the service manual.

Why the Fuel Pump Control Module Fails
The FPCM controls the voltage and PWM signal sent to your fuel pump. Instead of running the pump at full voltage all the time, the module varies pump speed based on demand from the ECM. When it fails, fuel delivery goes with it. Common symptoms:
Long Crank / Hard Start The engine cranks for several seconds before starting or requires multiple attempts. The FPCM isn't commanding the fuel pump to prime properly on key-on.
No Start / No Fuel Pump Prime Turn the key to RUN and there's no fuel pump hum from the tank. The FPCM has failed completely and isn't powering the pump at all.
Stalling at Idle or Under Load The engine starts but stalls at idle or bogs under acceleration. The FPCM can't maintain the fuel pressure the ECM is requesting.
DTC P0087 — Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low The most common code associated with FPCM failure. The ECM commands a target fuel pressure, the FPCM can't deliver it, and P0087 sets.
DTC P0230 — Fuel Pump Primary Circuit Indicates a fault in the control circuit between the ECM and the fuel pump module.
Intermittent Fuel Gauge Issues On some vehicles, the FPCM also processes the fuel level sender signal. A failing module can cause erratic fuel gauge readings.

What Is a Fuel Pump Control Module?
The Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) is mounted on or near the fuel tank and controls fuel pump operation. It receives a commanded fuel pressure signal from the ECM over the serial data bus and adjusts the voltage to the fuel pump motor to match. This variable-speed control improves fuel economy and reduces pump wear compared to running the pump at full voltage continuously.
When the FPCM fails, the fuel pump either doesn't run at all or can't deliver the requested pressure — resulting in hard starts, stalling, or no-start conditions.
After Installation
The FPCM arrives programmed to your VIN. Installation is straightforward — bolt in the new module and connect the wiring harness. No relearn procedures are required for the FPCM itself.
If you had stored DTCs from the old module (P0087, P0230, etc.), clear them with a scan tool after installation. If you don't have a scan tool, the codes will clear on their own after several drive cycles.
Why Buy From Us?
Dealerships charge a premium for the module and another round of labor for programming. We handle the VIN programming before it ships so all you need to do is bolt it in. No dealer appointment, no programming fees, no waiting.
If you have questions about your specific vehicle or part number, contact us before ordering and we'll confirm compatibility.
